State Information
Need more information on state promotions laws? Below are PDF
documents pulled from each state’s official website. We’ve only included states
that have specific laws regulating promotions or sweepstakes.
As specific bond or registration orders are placed by your office, Registersweeps.com may require further documentation to complete your order. The below is a quick description of each document and why they are needed.
Client Services Agreement This is a binding agreement between the sponsor, sponsor’s intermediary or sponsor’s attorney and SCA Promotions, Inc. (or SCA). Executing this form establishes the agreement that the sponsor understands SCA’s function is to issue and execute a Game of Chance surety bond on the sponsor’s behalf as well as files the registration of their promotion/sweepstakes directly with each state upon the timely receipt of all requested documents from the sponsor. This agreement will also explain how payment of SCA’s services will be established.
The General Indemnity Agreement (or GIA) is a guarantee by the Sponsor to reimburse the surety company for financial loss the surety may suffer as a result of the failure by the sponsor to perform as required under the underlying agreement of their promotion/sweepstake.
Limited Power
of Attorney (or LPOA) is a document when executed by the Sponsor that grants SCA authority to execute the issued surety bonds on behalf of the client. This LPOA form is needed to expedite the handling of said filings with each state’s regulatory office.
